Community-supported, classroom-first

Partnership should make it easier for teachers to do real work.

Future Makers Foundation works with sponsors, advisors, schools, and community organizations that want to support Louisiana classrooms in practical ways. The goal is not to add noise or create another layer around the work. The goal is to help teachers and students get access to tools, resources, connections, and support that make good ideas easier to carry through.

We are starting with pilot work at Juban Parc Elementary in Livingston Parish and building from there. If you want to support something real, local, and still taking shape, this is where to start.

How partnership works here

A good partner helps a classroom move forward. That could mean funding, equipment, expertise, encouragement, local credibility, or simply helping connect the right people at the right time.

FMF is teacher-first by design. That means partnerships should strengthen the work, not compete with it. If a partnership creates more burden than support, it is the wrong fit.

Specific support

We care less about broad promises and more about concrete help: a weather station, classroom resources, media tools, implementation help, or a direct connection that solves a real problem.

Named schools and real needs

We want partners to understand where support is going, what it is helping fund, and which classrooms or schools it is helping first.

Longer-term usefulness

The goal is not one good photo and a forgotten project. The goal is support that can still matter after the first launch, first post, or first event.

The kinds of partners we want to work with

Not every partner plays the same role. Some fund. Some advise. Some help connect the work to the right people. All of them should help teachers and students do more without making the work heavier.

Sponsors

Fund something specific

Support equipment, classroom tools, student media resources, pilot costs, or other needs tied to real schools and real work already taking shape.

Advisors

Share guidance that matters

Help shape the work with practical feedback, technical expertise, local knowledge, or strategic advice that makes the model stronger and more grounded.

Community organizations

Open doors and strengthen the network

Help connect FMF to schools, educators, families, subject-matter experts, or local opportunities that make classroom work easier to support and easier to sustain.

What good partnership looks like

The strongest partners are not looking to sit above the work. They want to help strengthen it.

  • They respect teachers’ time and judgment
  • They want support to be clear, useful, and traceable
  • They understand that real credibility comes from named schools and real needs, not vague promises
  • They want to help build something that can last longer than a single event or announcement
  • They care more about usefulness than optics

If that sounds like you, there is a good chance we should talk.

What support can fund or strengthen

Environmental and weather tools

Weather stations, environmental data tools, and resources that help students work with information tied to their own place.

Student media tools

Podcasting, video, audio, and storytelling support that helps students explain and share what they are learning.

Teacher support infrastructure

Shared resources, implementation help, and practical systems that make classroom ideas easier to launch and less dependent on one teacher doing everything alone.
